Our team collaborated with the KQED Membership team on developing a concept and visual direction in which we took reporters’ personal stories about what started them on the path of pursuing their passion for journalism, that ultimately brought them to KQED. As the stories were heartfelt and deeply touching, we wanted the visuals to feel human, handmade and tenderly crafted, and not distract too much from the content of the stories. In the end, we went with an analog-textured, simple, indie comic style, with limited atmospheric color scheme that aligned with our core brand palette.
