KQED App Multi-platform Campaign
Client | KQED Product and Marketing teams
Role | Art direction, concept, design, collage illustration, motion graphics, production
To support the relaunch of KQED’s proprietary app, our in-house creative team was tasked with developing a multi-platform campaign promoting the variety of engaging podcasts and audio broadcasts the channel had to offer. The direction we landed on involved playful scenes pairing some of KQED’s most interesting and relevant stories with corresponding scenery and fun, surreal collage elements. The result was a series of eye-catching, visually rich ads that stood apart from the landscape of (typically dry and text-based) Silicon Valley tech ads. They were featured in outdoor displays in BART public transit stations and train cars (including a looping animated LED video shown below) along with Google ads and local print publications.
